To use this function, You just need to screw down the top base during installation. This is because you have to follow a procedure for lifting the pole. First you have to lift the pole with your hand halfway up your body. It’s important to hold the pole with enough effort so that the joints don’t slip. When the pole reaches a height of about waist height, you can then insert the lifting rod and finish the procedure of locking the pole to the ceiling. Remember to follow the same procedure when lowering. When the pole reaches the waist line, remove the rod and finish the process by hand. To make the parts slip a little less, remove a little Vaseline from the parts to increase friction.

Every pole needs to be installed between a rigid floor and ceiling. In other words, you must have a solid surface to be able to install your pole, either screwed or by pressure. If the ceiling is not rigid, we have structural solutions that use the walls!
